Upcoming weeks promise acoustic treats aplenty in the Russian capital. The 21st International Festival of Music, "A Moscow Autumn '99" has drawn to a close, but Muscovite music lovers can feast their ears this month on Rimsky-Korsakov's "Mozart and Salieri" at the Dom Aktyora on Dec. 8.
"Mozart and Salieri," performed by the newborn Arbat Opera company - founded Nov. 2 by veteran producer Olga Ivanovna for "the best actors in Moscow" - is a chamber opera based on Pushkin's short verse tragedy about the relationship between the two composers.
